McGuire extractions

Oral surgery is a big deal and it can be quite serious. This kind of dental care is needed in different situations, but one of the most common reasons for oral surgery is wisdom tooth removal. Many people have issues with the way that their wisdom teeth develop, leading to the need to remove them before any other dental trauma can occur. Here at Browns Mills Dental Center we can provide patients with the McGuire extractions they need to prevent further dental issues and to resolve all problems pertaining to wisdom teeth.

Wisdom teeth are not really needed any more. As humans have evolved and the brain has gotten bigger, the human jaw has gradually grown smaller to accommodate these changes, leaving little room for the last molars. Wisdom teeth are the last molars that a person develops and they are located at the very back of the mouth. They are generally referred to as wisdom teeth because they tend to develop when a person is already an adult, around the ages of 18 to 21 or so. Some people develop these teeth earlier while others may develop them later, but depending on the movement, placement and direction of these teeth, they may need to be removed at one point. Because of the tight quarters, many people develop impacted wisdom teeth that develop towards other teeth, which could cause dental crowding and trauma. Others may develop wisdom teeth fully, but have a difficult time cleaning them because they are so far back in the mouth. Here at Browns Mills Dental Center we can perform McGuire extractions in either scenario to ensure that dental health is preserved and restored.

For people with impacted wisdom teeth, the teeth are removed before they can cause any damage, whereas un-impacted wisdom teeth can be more easily removed once they have fully developed and broken through the gums. If you need any kind of McGuire extractions, please visit us here at Browns Mills Dental Center today.

New Egypt Tooth Pain

Root Canal in New Egypt

New Egypt Tooth Pain

New Egypt Tooth Pain

Root canal is a viable, safe, effective, and (surprise!) painless way to rescue your tooth that has become infected. Here at Browns Mills Dental Center, we want you to have your natural teeth for as long as possible. Extraction should only be a last resort.

When you experience New Egypt tooth pain, especially when you chew or apply pressure to the tooth, it can be due to a bacterial infection in the pulp of the tooth, down near the nerve. How does this happen? Under normal circumstances, your tooth is protected from bacteria getting inside by its enamel. Tooth decay, caused by plaque, though can result in the formation of a cavity. That, or a deep filling from a previous cavity, a chip, or a crack can leave your tooth open to infection. In addition to New Egypt tooth pain, you may notice sensitivity to hot or cold foods and drinks, tooth discoloration, or gum tenderness. The point of root canal is to remove the bacterial infection along with the injured pulp and nerve. This is done by first numbing you with local anesthesia. The tooth must be drilled from the top so that our restorative dentist can get to those parts that need to be taken out. After that, the canals are cleaned out, disinfected, and sealed. This is to help prevent any further infection. It may take more than one session to complete, particularly if the tooth has multiple canals. Between visits, you will be fitted with a temporary crown to protect the tooth. Upon completion of root canal, you will have impressions taken for the formation of a permanent crown that will restore the tooth to full size.

The success rate of root canal is over 90%. So when you experience New Egypt tooth pain, reach out right away to our office.

If you are looking for a top-notch dental practice where you will receive thorough dental checkups as well as oral hygiene treatments, we hope you will visit us at Browns Mills Dental Center. At our dental practice, just two of our expert and highly trained dentists are Dr. Asad S. Sadiq and Dr. Benjamin Nero. If you want to have a comprehensive New Egypt dental checkup, simply contact us for care.

Having a New Egypt dental checkup on a regular basis goes a long way to ensure that your mouth is staying healthy. During a dental checkup, not only are your teeth and gums checked, but also your bite, and the health of your mouth is reviewed, as well. Generally, during a checkup you will receive a full set of x-rays. These x-rays will help our dentist determine whether or not any cavities are developing between the teeth or below the gum lines. Our dentist will also check your teeth to make sure they are not developing any cavities, or are showing any signs of tooth grinding. While reviewing your teeth, our dentist will also make sure that there are no current problems with existing dental restorations. Our dentist will also check your entire mouth to make sure you do not have any signs of oral cancer. Your bite will also be analyzed to make sure you are not developing any problems related to TMJ or teeth grinding. Our dentist will also thoroughly review your gums to make sure they are remaining healthy. If you are developing gingivitis, a common precursor to gum disease, our dentist will most likely recommend that you have several regular dental cleanings over the coming months to help your gums return to good health. If it is found that you have mild-to-moderate gum disease, and deep pockets have formed between your teeth and gums, it will most likely be recommended that you have a periodontal scaling and root planing treatment.

Braces in New Egypt

Invisalign in New Egypt

Braces in New Egypt

Braces in New Egypt

If you would like to have your teeth straighten so that you can have the beautiful smile you have long dreamt of, you should visit us at Browns Mills Dental Center. At our dental practice you can get braces in New Egypt from our expert and highly trained orthodontist, Dr. Benjamin Nero.

Invisalign invisible braces in New Egypt are a very popular treatment option because the clear plastic aligners are virtually invisible while they are being worn. This means that no one will be able to tell that you are having your teeth straightened. And, you will never need to be embarrassed by being seen wearing metal wires and brackets on your teeth. Our patients who are treated with Invisalign can attend work and social gatherings without anyone ever knowing that they are being treated with Invisalign. Not all smile problems can be corrected with invisible braces, but our orthodontist will be able to examine your dental situation and let you know if your particular bite can be corrected with Invisalign. A great many of our patients can be treated with Invisalign and are very happy with this orthodontic treatment option. CAD/CAM computer technology is used to help create the patient’s individual series of clear plastic aligners. A set of aligners can have anywhere between 15 and 45 aligners in it, depending on the bite problem that is being corrected. Each aligner is worn in sequence, for two weeks, and will slowly move teeth into position for the next aligner. Once the last aligner in the series is worn, you will have your beautiful, new smile. Treatment with Invisalign takes about the same amount of time as treatment with traditional metal braces. You will also be able to eat anything you want during the treatment period, since the clear plastic aligners are removed for meals.

If you would like to meet with our orthodontist about getting invisible braces in New Egypt, contact us today.
